Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium is located near Lake Höytiäinen in the municipality of Kontiolahti. The stadium is within easy reach, 14 km from the centre of Joensuu and 25 km from Joensuu airport.
Services during summer
In the summer, Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium provides training opportunities for rollerblading and rollerskiing. There are tracks from 1 to 4 km, from easy to more difficult. Track has been renewed in 2011. In the vicinity of the biathlon stadium, there are also trails for walking and running from 1 to 15 km. For training shooting, there is a range for biathlon rifles at the stadium.
Services during winter
Skiing season begins at the beginning of October on the Cooled ski track of 1,5 km. As soon as the weather allows, the cooled ski track is extended to 4 km with artificial snow. When the natural snow falls, there are tracks from 3 to 6 km. Cafeteria in the main building is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during weekends.
Meetings and other services
Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium is also suitable as a place for meetings. The cafeteria in the main building seats 100 persons, and the press centre is great for family parties etc. We provide catering services as well as equipment for meetings (beamer, overhead projector, copier, fax, internet connections etc.).
