The Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium is an excellent training unit

The biathlon stadium consists of the shooting range of 30 targets (Kurvinen) and the versatile course as well as penalty loop, start and finish area, main building, press centre and tv-centre in the stadium area.

There are several competition courses from 2,5 to 7,5 km, and easy 10 - 20 km training tracks. Skiing season begins in October on the 1,5 km long cooled ski track that was constructed in 2004. Natural snow falls in the end of November.

On the stadium, there are 21 modern, permanent waxing cabins and changing rooms.

The Biathlon stadium is located 120 meters above sea level. The tracks vary between 89 - 129 meters above sea level.
